The bill to change the name of the ND Department of Labor to the ND Department of Labor and Human Rights is scheduled for hearing on Wednesday, January 26, 8:30 a.m., before the Senate Industry, Business and Labor Committee in the Roosevelt Park Room at the North Dakota Capitol in Bismarck.

I support SB 2245, which will change the name of the ND Department of Labor to the ND Department of Labor and Human Rights.
This will more accurately describe the work and responsibilities of the department, and make it easier for residents of North Dakota to find the Division of Human Rights in the Department of Labor.
The one-time cost of $5,200 is worth the increased visibility and service to North Dakotans.
